This is Calvin, our cook for the day. He sure knows how to cook:
Heather is one of our newer members, but she is already taking an active role in the family:
The food was awesome!
The stream behind the picnic table was beautiful and so serene:
Heather and the kids enjoyed wading in it:
Judy and Willa Mae enjoyed the fellowship, as did we all:
I'm glad I'm not the only camera fanatic in the crowd. Dena also enjoys taking pictures:
This is David, our driver for the day. He is a VERY GOOD driver:
Mrs. McKinney, Pearl, and Willa Mae have been dubbed the "Three Stooges" by me:
This is inside an old Methodist Church:
Then I guess Judy and Heather were picking out cemetery lots:
Some of the graves were only marked by stones, and there were so manychildren buried there. I guess it was due to the lack of health care in the early 1900's:
Then like the good Baptists we are, we went to a Missionary Baptist Church:
I really didn't like the hornets nest hanging on the side of the church:
The scenery was beautiful!:
A young girl taking an oath to be a junior park ranger:
Now for the best pictures! The deer! I couldn't believe how close they came:
A young deer was across the street looking at it's mama on the other side:
And here's Mama on the other side of the street from her baby:
There was an almost newborn that we said looked like "Bambi":
This one's mom was close by, also:
These are two separate bucks:
Last but certainly not least is the baby deer doing a dance for us:

You just used the church pic nic as an excuse to go and visit my birth family.
LOL!!! Okay, you found me out. The buck is your real father.
